Hakawi Workshop:

BZU Museum recently held a workshop in our series of workshops in "Hawaki al Mahaf"about an analysis of Palestinian embroidery and the methods of stitching as well as the use of these methods as seen through the BZU Museum Textile collection for first year students of the Faculty of Visual Arts, Design, and Music at BZU. We held this workshop in our gallery space and opened up a discussion concerning everyday use of clothing and the historical context of changing patterns and designs. This is part of our ongoing series in Hawaki al Mathaf to engage our collections in our pedagogical programming.
