Concept: A lecture by painter Samia Halaby presents to the students how painting related to its sources in the pictorial arts of the ancient land of the Arab world, medieval Islamic abstraction, the Mexican Mural Movement and other revolutionary arts of the 20th century, as well as on the popular thought and symbols of the struggle for liberation.
